Although Italy has not implemented yet the so called “Golden Visa” legislation (like for example, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain), which is a Visa issued upon purchasing of real estate with a certain value, there are legitimate ways to achieve the same result. In fact, it is possible to obtain a residence permit trough an application for “elective residency”.
